The purpose of this commission is to develop and oversee a comprehensive catechetical plan for the parish/cluster to provide for the lifelong faith formation and catechesis of all its members as described in the General Directory for Catechesis and the National Directory for Catechesis. The Commission is a consultative body concerning the faith formation and education programs subject to the policies and regulations that proceed from the Archbishop. The faith formation commission serves as a committee of the pastoral council according to the Manual for Parish Pastoral Council of the Archdiocese of Dubuque. All decisions/recommendations of the parish commission need the approval of the Pastor/Parish Life Coordinator (PLC).
